"Each one of us has a little bit of insanity. One who claims the contrary, of not being insane in any other way, is more insane than an insane person."
Happy birthday @donnaylade! This may be a little bit late, but just look how we evolved through the years. You used to have a long hair, while I was the shortie; now look how things have changed! Nevertheless, I love you just the same or probably EVEN more!
I am lucky to have you as my snob seatmate during our first day and who would’ve thought, that very same day, I would meet my Superfriend. Thank you for always inspiring and guiding me and being my number one confidant and cheerleader! So proud to have you as my friend.
PS. I miss how we’d go to school with TOTALLY COINCIDENTAL matching outfits.
PPS. But what I miss more is making kwento while having lunchbreak at Fior.

Almost 2 years ago. Fooling around with law school blockmates while doing our ObliCon project. And that girl behind me, happily sleeping having a world of her own, that’s @melasantos! I miss you!!!!
Anchors Away
Just look at our faces every time the “ship” swings! And how relieved were we after the ride, except of course for Donna (white shirt) and Issa (green shirt), who were the only ones frenzied with this type of daring rides!

Salubong 2010.
I wasn’t at Taft when everything happened. I was still on my way when some of my friends SMSed me (group message) asking if everything’s okay. At first I thought it was a joke cos they had the same message and those who SMSed me are known for their pranks. So I replied to a more reliable source. Clarence told me not to go to Taft anymore cos there was an explosion, and that some of our schoolmates were hurt cos of a pillbox blast. I did not heed her advice.
When I got to my sorority’s headquarters, the mood was different. Different from the rest of the fraternities and sororities around us, shouting and merrymaking like what should happen during a usual Salubong - laughter, joy, food and overflowing booze. I was informed about what happened. Everyone was still coping and trying to process the incident. Turns out, my sisses were on the spot exactly where the pillbox/grenade was thrown and it was just a nick of a time before they moved to their current spot when the explosion happened. I didn’t know what to feel. For a second, I was thankful I was late and was not there when it all happened. I was even more thankful that none of my sisses were hurt. But clearly everyone was traumatized. Until now.
Sadly, some of my friends and schoolmates were hurt. Two law students need their feet amputated and some of the victims are still in the hospital needing blood for their operations. These people are innocent and they do not deserve to be put in a situation like this. What they wanted, same with other people present that time, was to support their barristers and congratulate them for finishing the month-long Bar exams. With the exception of course of the barbaric people behind the bombing.
Everything was premeditated. For what reason? Warring fraternities? For the sake of what they disgustingly call brotherhood and honor, but at the expense of the traditional festivity, more so lives of innocent and uninvolved people. Truly, this is inhumane. Totally unforgivable. Condemnable.
Everyone must held hands to seek justice for the Salubong 2010 blast. These criminals do not deserve to walk along the streets while the victims suffer, carrying the burden of what happened and especially the memory of 9/26… forever. It is however evident that the league of law students are all in this together. Seeing black ribbons as profile pictures in Facebook of my school mates and even friends from other law schools, affiliated or not, is a sign of unity - that everyone has the same goal aside from becoming a lawyer, to give justice to the victims and have the perpetrators put behind the bars.
To my friends who are victims of the blast, Nith, Ram, and Gladys, we are all praying for you. Same is true with your brods and sisses. Everyone is hoping for all of you to get better. All of you are in my prayers. If only I am more pounds heavier, I could have donated blood for those who need it. To Raissa Laurel and Jokat Ledda, who are very much hurt, be stronger than ever, and know that all of us are behind you. You girls inspire not only your colleagues and school mates, but all those who desire to have the “ATTY.” in their names. Your spirit and determination is unfathomable. Your sisses and brods are lucky to have you as their sisses.
To those involved in this barbaric act, know that your act “it will not go unpunished”. These are not acts of a law student, even so of a future lawyer.
